Cari amici, scusate l’assenza prolungata dovuta a una serie di fattori e impegni. Il tempo è sempre poco, le giornate sono piene e a volte accade anche che uno ha tante idee in testa, e poi non è facile sceglierne una e scrivere un post, escludendo le altre. Anche questo, in parte, è accaduto.
Per non perpetuare ulteriormente questa serie di mancanze oggi vi propongo un articolo che ha, per certi versi, un tratto epocale. Si intitola “Was Marx Right?” ed è una riflessione sulla condizione del capitalismo contemporaneo apparsa sulla prestigiosa Harvard Business Review – non certo un covo di (neo/post) marxisti. Con la promessa di una ampia e approfondita riflessione, di mio pugno, su questo e altri temi, nei prossimi post – e anche qualche novità.

Hence, indulge me for a paragraph or two. Now, please note: This is a hugely divisive topic, and by “was Marx right?” I don’t mean “Communism is the glorious future of humankind, my brothers in arms!! (And I am your leader — bow!!)”. For, of course, I think we’ve had plenty of compelling demonstrations that it wasn’t. Rather, I mean: “Was there maybe a tiny mote of insight or two hidden in Marx’s diagnoses of the maladies of industrial age capitalism?”
